This screen is for recording the religion of the deceased, the various gratuities required for the officiant, organist, piper and bugler etc and can also record the organisation for which any donations made at the funeral are to be for.
As usual an edit will allow data to be entered.
Selecting Names for Gratuities to be Paid
The names of the people for whom Gratuities are to be paid are able to be selected from the drop down list or freely typed into the field.
Enter the amount of money that this person will be paid.
If selected from a drop down list the default money value for this person may automatically be entered for you.
Note: To add or change the names in a list (and the default amount of their gratuity) go to the ‘Preferences – People’ section of FreeDAM.
Printing Gratuity Envelopes
The Envelope icon next to the names will print an envelope addressed correctly with your branding for the person with appreciation from the deceased’s family.
Celebrant / Clergy Card / Officiants Record
FreeDAM is able to print an Officiant’s Record Card completed with information that has already been entered into FreeDAM.
The purpose of these cards in the past were for the clergy to be able to have the details of the deceased so that they could remove the person from their church records. These days these cards are used to jog the officiant’s memory when leading a service and often they are used as markers in bibles for readings. We find many officiants keep these cards and often refer back to them over time.
An officiants Record in FreeDAM is very often customised to your requirements and takes on board your company’s branding.

Note the use of the Announcements and special notes fields.
If other family members have been captured in FreeDAM you are able to have these names and relationships printed on the card also.
Charity Donation Box
FreeDAM can print a donation box label for the appropriate charity. The label can be customised to your preference and may also have your branding on it.
Enter the name and address details of the charity in the fields. Commonly used charities are stored in a list in the ‘Preferences – Places’ section of FreeDAM.
